Why am I bothering to do this?

So many people people have started blogs and many of them are never read. So it's a pertinent question. I have a sense of humour that some find very funny and others groan at. Whatever category you're in I hope you find my thoughts interesting. If not, so be it!
And yes, that is me going to battle with a boiler lid, when I was a mere toddler in about 1970.
